Dear Sir/Mam, while i resigned from my job from one of a company, they reveresed my salary from account through lien, therefore, I got angry and deleted all the data. now company has sent me a legal notice for the same, kindly suggest if, i can be in some legal trouble.

A.Dear Client,
Misappropriation with the employers/company's property makes you liable to face legal consequences including termination from service apart from claiming damage to the company's database. When the company withholds your salary on resignation, there are legal remedies in place to recover your salary from the employer/company because withholding of salary or F & F dues of an employee in the absence of any valid or cogen reason, is considered unfair labour practice on the part of the company. But since you have already taken the law into your hands, you should be prepared to face the consequences. If required, based on the situation you may hire the service of an Advocate to navigate the matter in the right way.
