Pet dog urinating on road
I've a pet dog, we take him out on walks every evening which is much needed and it urinates and poops on these walks.
It walks and urinates on road-side where drains lie and other Street dogs have already urinated to mark his territory.
For pooping, we walk it around an empty plot that is used for dumping garbage and has all sorts of animals, birds living in there.
There's one neighbour that has threatened us to stop walking out dog across the road of their house. It's not even their lane. It's across their lane and house, around 10 meters away.
We tried to make them understand that we are only walking out dog here and nobody can stop us from doing that if we are not causing any harm to anyone. It's not even your lane. And on the walks if it feels urinating, it will. We can not stop that. That are many other Street dogs that pee and poop everywhere on the streets and that can not be stopped. That's a basic necessity for every living being. In fact, in bigger gated societies and apartments too, nobody can stop a dog from peeing. It is an animal, it does not no the boundaries and training is also a subjective topic. No training guarantees a certain behaviour, not even in humans. We are not making it poop around your house, it's only peeing and that too away from your house. Neither does it cause any odour issues for you nor does it add any hindrance to the sight. It simply evaporates. And road is a public property, it's not yours. There are so many people parking their cars on public roads, there are so many street animals that poop and pee around, we are paying for sweeping of public road around our house. We are trying our best to co-exist but receiving threats every now and then is taking a toll on our mental health.
I need to know the laws for situation and can we do.
