Bike Service from Suzuki Authorised Service centre
1 month ago
Hi there,
I had given my bike for tank replacement in Suzuki Authorised Service Centre. Usually i give my bike for service here. The mechanic had recommended for fuel tank change for my bike, as it was rusty. I had ordered in Jan 2024 , and the service centre call me after almost 2 months, that the tank had arrived i can submit my bike for tank change. When i gave and got my bike after the tank replacement . The petrol got leaking from my bike during running the very next day. I gave my bike for service again, for petrol leakage. I got it on same day with assurance that the problem is resolved. Buy again before i reach my home the petrol started leaking. Later next day i again gave my bike, and i was told i need to change the carburettor of my bike . It costed me more 4500, and i was told due to new tank, the pressure of petrol was having high force, due to which carburettor got damaged. I said okay, but then carburettor was change 1 year ago only. But i said okay , if it works then no other way. But then again when i reached home , the petrol was leaking. Next day i again gave my bike to service. They took 2 days for repair and test run, and again i was assured that the problem is resolved. Again the petrol got leaking when i reached home. Again i gave it to service and when i was there to pick up the bike, the petrol started leaking in service centre itself. In this process i had it take many leaves in office, my time was wasted to travel to and from the service centre. There was also risk of my bike catching fire. Could you please suggest what action can be taken against them, this has caused me mental stress and wastage of time. It has effected my work and personal life.
In the given scenario, serving a legal notice to the authorized service center file a complaint against them under Sec.35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 over deficiency in service and unfair trade practices before the Dist Consumer Commission claiming a hefty amount of compensation along with litigation costs. The complaint should be filed within two years from the date of the cause of action. Reach out to an Advocate handling consumer cases for guidance and steps.
