Mental and Financial Torture
I had a love marriage in 2017. before my wedding, my in laws were living in a small house. When they visited my house for the first time, they knew that there was considerable financial difference in the families and so they gave their house on rent and rented another house which was decently sized in the same locality. The differential rent was not much. They first promised my family that they would buy a house and sell their old one. As wedding approached, they promised my family that they will buy a house after the wedding. Now, 2 years have passed and they don't have any intention of buying a house. However, now they create issues even on little household expenses. They are trying to extract money in little little ways from me and my husband. My father in law has an ancestral shop and ancestral property. But still they constantly put financial pressures on us whereas before marriage they had shown an entirely different picture. If we do not go their way, then they ask me and my husband to leave and manage on our own. My husband is good but when my in laws ask us to leave the house so if i say that i will divorce then they say that they are asking both me and my husband to leave (as they very well know that I wont leave my husband). I am earning but I feel completely handicapped and betrayed as this is not what I was shown how it would be after marriage. This is breach of my trust, giving false promises and now blackmailing me. Pls help. It would be great if I can explain it to you on the phone.

Your problem is understood but the question remains open that what exact legal solution do you need. In case you want to separate from ypur husband then you can file for separation or divorce.
In case you want a part of the share in property for peaceful living then you can ask your husband to file a partition suit.
