My signature forged and opened demat account without my knowledge

Dear Sir/Madam, am from Bangalore, XYZ Private Bank have opened a Demat account without my knowledge by forging my signature and by the documents which i have submitted for opening salary/savings account. i came to know about this by getting calls regarding the account from the particular bank call center. i raised a question to that executive who called me from call centre that " where did i signed and where did i agreed for opening an demat account ? his reply was: sir, you can download all the account opening application forms and documents where you have signed from net banking". i have downloaded all the documents and i was really surprised and shocking that the signature has been forged. can i take legal action against the Bank ?? i asked for clarification/explanation from bank in writting that how and why this has happened and how they are going to ensure this will not repeat again but it was more than 35 days there was no response from Bank but they have closed that above said account. after taking this issue to banking ombudsman now they are calling from bank and saying i have only signed it which is not acceptable. please suggest what is to be done and am feeling insecured with that bank.
