Resignation Relieving letter

I have resigned and am serving the 30 day notice period. My question is, if I stop coming to office after 30 days, then what legal actions could be taken against me? And how long can they hold my relieving letter?

A.Your relieving letter can be held by the company for a fair bit of time.
If you do serve the notice period then it should not be a problem.
