A girl says she is going to file a case against me she calls me many times and sends a lot of emails although i have blocked her... i dont want to keep any contact with her but she says that i have used her physically as i was engaged with her and she used to come to my house for clarifications and in agression i have hit her also and mishandled her now she is saying that she will file a case against me... are there chances of settling the issue or if she files a case what to do she has even called my dad and discussed with him all the issue and says that if ur up for a compromise in which she asks for marriage only in that condition she is ready to forget the mistreats or else she will file a case and stand up for the wrongs

A.dear client in your case You have to state the complete facts for an advice. As per your post, you have stated the outcome but not how and when these incidents have taken place. If you had physical relationship with her was it mutual or forced. Do you have any evidence to prove that she is threatning you or black mailing you? Please consult for an advice.

A.Dear,

It is up to you if you want to settle the issue with the girl or not. As she is asking for marriage and if you accept the proposal well and good as there ends the matter. If you are not ready for marriage, as she says, she might file criminal cases against you against which you need to defend yourself. You may need to obtain anticipatory bail if FIR is registered against you and later contest the case in trial court after charge sheet is filed by the police.
