hello sir/mam, Myself sonali, I belong to a sikh religion. I'll b marrying in October,2019 to a sikh person, who is a British citizen. I am then going to apply for a spouse VISA. I have a query regarding court marriage for submission of paper works, i.e, if we do a court marriage ( Registration of marriage) AFTER religious narriage in gurudwara will be better or we should do a court marriage BEFORE religious marriage and submit the paper work before religious marriage bcoz it'll save our time Pls suggest which procedure will b best according to you.

Dear sir, (1) Is taking part in religious ceremonies by a foreigner leads to visa violation ? (2) If we found visa violation, then to whom should we report ? (3) if the local police refuse to receive the complaint regarding visa violation, then to what to do? (4) How to find the type of visa a po person is having ?

A. Dear Mr.G.V.Saikumar, 1. Not necessarily. It depends on the type of VISA one has. 2.In case of violation get in touch with the Authorities, I mean the Authorities of your State Government or Union Territory as the case may be. 3.Police can not refuse. 3.1 In case of refusal get in touch with higher officer giving your full identity. At the same time lodge the FIR through NET and SPEED POST.There are lot of options left out for you. 4.That is not your job.Do not encroach the territory of Police and Intelligence. You might land up in trouble. Your job ends up after giving information. Then Police starts taking action. Shanti Ranjan Behera Advocate

Dear sir, (1) Can foreigners with any visa indulg in evangelism / proselytism ? (2) How to trace the nationality and type of visa of a foreigners ? (3) To whom should I make complaint if I feel that visa norms violated ?

A. Dear Mr. GVSai Kumar, 1.Ref your question No 1... There are different types of VISAs available to different people. So before lodging a complain you need to see the type. For example one has a Tourist VISA and the other has a Work Permit. 2.Re your question No 2. That is not your job.Your job is to inform the Authorities. There are specially trained officers to handle the job which you are telling. 3.Ref your question No 3. Now you have asked the right question. Go to the Office of Superintendent of Police(SP) There is a Office Inside called DIB District Intelligence Bureau (DIB) That Office handles this work. Go with your identity Card and lodge complaint. In case of difficulty get in touch with me through vidhikarya.com and I will tell you the next step. Shanti Ranjan Behera Advocate

I am in India with my family on an employment visa and our FRRO is on Tuesday. We have a dispute with a former AirBnB host whose place we left because the sanitary conditions were dangerous to our kids' health and the place was also otherwise not as advertised. Beforehand, we had said via whatsapp chat that we would stay longer and pay 2500 Rs/night for every extra night. But since the conditions were so bad, we had to leave the place to stay elsewhere for a couple of days. I told him that we would have to take off from the rent if things did not improve, to which he did not respond. We then returned two days later, stayed one more night, but since things had not improved, we picked up the baggage and left. We had paid the AirBnB in full, left half of the rent for the three days after, because we did not and could not actually stay there, informed him about where to find the money and how to allot it (some of what we left was dedicated to the cleaning lady who came twice) and left for a better place. The former host is now angry that we left and that we did not pay the full sum. He is also threatening to file a police complaint, stating that this could complicate our visa immigration formalities. Is this to be taken seriously? Is this blackmail? Can we file a counter complaint for unsanitary conditions? What would you advise we do?
