i have met a girl on tinder in july. Then we got emotionally connected on the phone , but i did not see her or meet her or had any physical contact with her.she supposed to be fine in the beginning made me fall for her sweet words and i told i will marry her but later i did realise that her mental condition in not good. Her entire family is a disturbed family. her family is the circus i dint want to buy tickets to. i distanced myself from her saying that i need to study and ask her to do the same in the begiining of august.she went to US in mid august to pursue her studies and returned back in september 2nd week saying that she couldnt concentrate on her studies because of me as i am not speaking to her. her mother is putting false allegations on me saying that her daughter is under depression and its because of me and i need to pay her medical bills and her studies expenditure which she they have incurred.when in good terms the girl had ordered me a bed, which i got it cancelled and now she is threating that i need to pay that money which i did out of fear. but the harrasment that i have cheated her daughter and making me a reason for her daughters current position.her mother is harassing me over the phone and her daughter is abusing me to pay all the bills for all the expenditure they have incurred.i just want to get out of this mess and lead a normal life. How can i save myself, what all legal remedies i have ? kindly explain. I have complained to the cyber crime police but she didn’t turn up to the police station. Two days back she started texting me again , I blocked her though. I need to come out of this situation neat and clean .. pls suggest measures

A.Do you left any evidences with her. Is she recorded yours talks. In fact if you not at fault so issues. You can simply lodge a complaint that she is harassing you. But you have mentioned that their house is a circus. This shows that you have visited their house or you meet them . OK be careful that they do not have any evidences. if they are able to prove that you gave her assurance that you will marry her then issues may come. But since you are confident that you have not done any wrong so you can take legal support.

A.Hi Chandan,

Hope you are doing good and safe.

We can understand your situation and what you are going through.

This is very important to re-verify about any kind of physical relationship, if no, then, after the lockdown you may file protection and preventive petition at the jurisdictional police station, on the same, the police may summon her at the station and take undertaking U/s 120 of Cr. PC that she will not repeat the same with the various condition.

Many thanks,

A.Its clear case of blackmailing, if the cyber police did not respond, you file a complaint with the superintendent of police and if they also does not take action, you can directly file a private complaint in the court. Hope that will deal with it.

A.Dear Sir,
You have done good by approaching cyber police. Keep that evidence. Just approach Civil Court file a civil suit restraining herself and her mother entering into or interfering in to your private life etc., As you decided to end the relationship of formal friendship with her. Then you will get a civil decree it is sufficient for you to protect yourself in future.
Please give me Rank 5 and Review my Resume and Follow Me.
