Grandmother’s property registered to my father Grandmother’s property registered to my father

My grandmother got some acres of land which is ancestral. She got this land on her name through winning a court case against her fathers’s brothers who occupied her father’s share. My grandmother registered this land on my father’s name when she was alive. Now she is expired and my fathers siblings are filing a case demanding a share in the land. Is it possible for them to get the share?

Note: Grandmother registered the land in my father’s name and she mentioned giving it as a way of “danam”(which means donation).

A.It has lost the nature of ancestral when it comes into the hands of your grand mother and she became absolute owner. Thus her gift in the name of your father cannot be challenged. Just continue the litigation leisurely. Discuss.

A.Details are required to be examined. Your grandmother might have transferred the land as gift so in that no sibling of your father is entitled to claim any share from father in said property gifted by grandmother.
