Termination due to COVID-19 during pregnancy Termination due to COVID-19 during pregnancy

Can pregnant women be laid off in India due to COVID-19 situation? I'm 6 months pregnant and released from the project. As soon as I lost project exactly after 2 days my employer informed me about lay-off with one month notice, despite of informing about my pregnancy in advance. I would like to clarify if it’s legal to lay me off at this time. This doesn't let me avail my maternity benefits.
Please advise what actions I can take in this situation and how should I deal with the Full & Final settlement after a month. Should I not accept it?
Also I am afraid if I go for a legal action, how would I manage the court appearances during pregnancy? Since the company is based out of Bangalore, do I need to be present in same city/state?
I would really appreciate if someone can share insights on this topic.

A.You can manage the court case through power of attorney. Approach the labor commissioner or court. You will succeed. Circulars are there.

A.Your presence will be excused on account of pregnancy. They cannot swerve their way out of maternity benefits, failure to pay results in imprisonment even. It is a very strong and clear law, you will have a strong claim.
