My tenant has not paid the rent for last 4 months and the 12 months contract ended on 14/09/2020. since 21/09/2020 my tenant has locked the flat and is now absconding, phone switched off till today. one set of key is with him. His documents provided earlier now has been verified and found to be fake. As I stay in a different state, i could not verify details earlier and didn't find any requirement till things were all right. CCTV footage of the society has confirmed that he left the premises without any materialistic belongings like TV, Fridge etc. also now came to know that he has forged some other people of the society and have collected around 5+ lakhs rupees before absconding.

Now may I please be guided about my legal future steps.

A.You have to contact the local Police station and an amicable settlement may be made with the police. If you like to take legal action through a competent court, you have to wait for a long time for getting any redressal from the court.
