COMPENSATION IMPOSSED ON KOCHI CORPORARION BY SHRC NOT PAID

My wife had fallen into an unattended drain left open by kochi Corporation workers during repair on 17.07.2017. A complaint was filed in Kerala SHRC against corporation. KSHRC ordered compensation of Rs 1Lakh to the victim on 20 July 2020. One month time was granted to corporation. Till now corporation has not taken any action. What options are available to us for getting the compensation? I will be highly grateful for an immediate response

A.Hi,
Since there is an order awarding compensation to your wife, the KSHRC is liable to pay the amount. If the amount is not paid within the time given you can file an application in the court for non-obedience of court order.

A.Hi,
You can issue a legal notice to the Corporation stating failure to comply with, would result into a legal proceeding.
