Web designer punishment if client uses designed website for fraudulent scheme

As a web designer I design websites for clients all over India. I do not meet them and complete the work online.
But now I have a concern. Recently I realized one client is using his websites to cheat other people or run fraud scheme?
Kindly guide what to do in this kind of scenario? And how to be safe because at the time of designing a website we do not know how client will use the site? How Can I safe guard myself for future work?

A.U just make a mou or agreement with client to clearly specify the terms and conditions protecting ur intrest. Ucan do it online agreement also
