My marriage was fixed to a girl by my parents the girl's father came to my house and fixed the marriage
Till now no engagement and marriage dates have been fixed... the girls father has sent 10 lakh rupees by distributing 2.5 lacs in 4 accounts of my relatives ... Now I want to deny the marriage so is there anything to worry about.. That whether her father will take any legal step around me... I will return the money in his account after the dicussion.. I just want to know is there a possibility of any case against me I think the matter can be peacefully resolved if tried since till now no function has occured

A.Dear Sir,
You are in fix so better get issue a legal notice or approach police stating that your father-in-law wish to blackmail you and your relatives by depositing such amounts.

A.Hi,
This will depend upon the girl's family. The matter should be discussed with the girl's family properly, so as to avoid any conflict in future.

A.Hi,
Initially, the money is to be returned to the girl's family before the cancellation of marriage.
After that, a discussion may be done with the girl's family regarding the same.
