Accident in my friend's car

In 2017 we had accident in my frds car. We're 3 people in vehicle. I had recorded statement to police. My frd got his insurance claim. Yesterday my frd called who was in vehicle with me & told me we have to go to court & tell the court that we got the insurance. Not received any notice from court. Court is 60 km away. My frd gone & said we have to give affidavit that we got insurance money & also told me we have to go to the place where court is & give affidavit. He said notice was issued but due to covid it was shared through WhatsApp to him. I didn't received any notice till date. What should I do next? And If I had to file the affidavit to court then can I post it to court? Is it mandatory to do? The other 2 frds including driver had done that as he told. What to do?

Dear Sir,
You may enquire with the concerned police and also ask somebody to enquire in the concerned Court.

Hi.
firstly should reconfirm it from your friend whether he has received any notice on your name or not.
if the notice has been sent on your name, ask your friend to forward it to you. Only then you will be legally bound to appear before the Hon'ble Court.
Further, if you have to appear before the respective court, it would be done with the help of a lawyer.

Hi sir.
You should confirm it from your friend whether he has received the notice on your name or not and if the notice has been sent on your name, ask your friend to forward it to you. Only then you will be obliged to appear before the Hon'ble Court. Further, if you have to appear before the respective court, it would be done with the help of a lawyer.

Just hire an advocate ..he will help you in this.and it is true that court send notice or summon throungh watsap and through emails.

your lawyer can submit the affidavit on your behalf.
otherwise without lawyer, every state/city courts have different process because in some states parties not allowed inside court premises, some have alternative methods.
