Overspeeding DL suspension Overspeeding DL suspension

I have been ticketed for overspeeding in Chandigarh 60/85 km hr. This is my first offence. When I went to pay the e ticket the police lady said your DL will be suspended for 3 months. I asked what else can I do she said wiat till 1 month then go to court and see what happens. I believe is there a law that says after 3rd offence DL can be suspended for overspeeding. What are my rights and what should I do. Pay the fine get DL suspended for 3 months or go to court
