Wipro relieving letter date overlapping with joining date for a PSU. Wipro relieving letter date overlapping with joining date for a PSU.

I have left wipro after serving for 20 days of notice period and duly informing them about my PSU joining letter. But they didn't release me and told me that when notice period will end then only I can get relieving letter. I was ready to buy out the notice period which was left but they denied. Now I have joined PSU and left wipro. After settlement they gave my relieving letter dated 16 February 2020 but I joined PSU on 20 January 2020. I have requested them to change the release date but no mail from them come to me. Now if I want to show these experience somewhere then it will be troublesome for me due to overlapping dates. What to do now? I am ready to pay any sort of fine or money to wipro if I have to to breach the notice period. I need only opinions here.

A.Hi,
Either you request your manager/supervisor in your current organization to reduce your notice period(in order to change your relieving date to 1 or 2 days before the joining date in the new organization).
Or you can explan the situation to HR in the new organization or simply ask them to extend the date of joining(they might have asked you about the last working day in the previous organization during the interview process and till when you can join).

if this does not work , you can send a legal notice to the previous company to make the alterations.

A.Hi,
you can talk to the HR or the managing team to change the dates, talk to them amicably.
if things are not resolved, you can send them a legal notice.

A.usually this doesnt happen.
you can send now a notice for correction in relieving letter as last working day.
They will do it.
this notice also can be used as evidence for new employment.

Hope this clarifies,

A.I suggest you to issue a Legal Notice to Wipro to clarify that you had left Wipro on the actual date mentioned by you and that the Relieving Letter is only dated 16-02-2020.
