Harrassment from a client

Resp. Sir/mam I run a marriage band in rural area of Maharashtra, we take a token amount while take a date from marriage party, same had taken from this client too but due to covid that marriage did not happened and we faced huge losses due to it but now he wants his money back. We give the Bill to the client after we fix the date with them and on that paper it is written that of the program gets cancelled due to any reason we will take full amount from you. So situation now is that he threatening of police complaint and don't know that should I take loan and pay him back or it is justifiably right by my side
Nobody can enrich at the cost of another. Its seems you have not spent a single pie on the proposed marriage. Towards Administrative expenses you may deduct upto 50% and remaining 50% may be refunded to settle the matter once for all.

so you are safe as per condition of bill.
loan for this is not justified.
but if you want then you can offer the program at later date without further fees.

The police cannot do anything to you as there was a valid contract which stated that there would be no refunds in case of cancellation.
So long as it was mentioned in the agreement that the refund would not be given in case of cancellation, the law will be on your side as you had a valid contract. The police cannot do anything to you.
