I booked a plot in Bangalore, and paid the booking amount after a few month I decided against going with the plot due to Financial constrains,
I have send the cancellation request but the builder has not paid the remaining booking amount its been more than 3 months since I asked for the cancellation.
the Builder is well know in bangalore ( Mantri Builders) what is the correct way to approach and resolve this. upon multiple follow ups the reps just say that its still in process

A.Dear Sir,
You may get issue a strong legal notice and take back your amount and threaten to approach consumer court as in this COVID situation so many purchasers cancelling their respective bookings and there are circulars from the Government and Court orders to refund such advance payments to the concerned persons.

A.Hi,
Serve them with legal notice to repay, if the management is unresponsive. You can also file a civil money recovery suit against them.

A.Hi,
You can serve them with a legal notice to repay, but this depends on whether you had a right in your agreement to receive refund after cancellation.
You can also file a money recovery suit against them, but I'd advise taking it up with the builders themselves before instituting legal proceedings.
