Police action
Somebody took money from me and is absconding from his home.
One lawyer says we need their new location for filing a case. Without address case will remain pending for unlimited time.
Now how could I find their new place? I've their working mobile no. and I think police(Maharashtra) should locate and arrest them through this. But lawyer says that process is very difficult and police may not act promptly.
How should I proceed? Whom should I reach?
If I file case based on their old address or without any address, can't the COURT order the police to locate and arrest the culprits?
(Money was transferred through bank)
A.Hi,
File a complaint with the police for cheating and theft, they can use the suspect's mobile number to trace his location.
A Court order can also be passed directing the police to do their duty.

A.Hi,
Approach the police and file a theft and cheating case with them. They will assist you in determining where the suspect is residing.
You might need to apply some pressure or influence to make them take prompt action, especially if the amount is small.
Yes, the Court can order the police to locate the culprits.

A.Dear Sir,
If you have documents of having paid such amount like promissory notes, Bank transfer etc. then you can file a case by showing old address and then give a paper publication through Court then it will be decreed ex-parte. You will have twelve years time to execute such ex-parte money decree.
