NC-OBL Category clarification

My father is in govt service (recruited as class III and now class 1 after 40 years of age) and my mother is state govt primary teacher.
Both there salary combined is more than 8 lakhs per annum. Do i belong to NC-OBC category ?
Please reply ASAP.

A.Hi,
OBC status does not depend on income or profession, it depends on which caste the person is born as. If you are an OBC, the combined income of more than 8 lakhs will put you in the OBC creamy layer.

A.Hi,
Whether you are OBC or not will depend on the status your father was born with, based on his caste and creed. Income has nothing to do with it; although if you are an OBC, you will fall within the creamy layer.
