The petitioners in this writ petition seek to assail the
order dated 05.07.2003 (Annexure-2 series) passed by the
Joint Commissioner, Consolidation and Settlement,
Sambalpur in Revision Case No. 534 of 2003.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
Earlier the petitioners had filed W.P.(C) No. 20428 of
2020 assailing the order dated 21.07.2003 (Annexure-3)
passed by the Addl. Sub-Collector, Sambalpur in Remand
Revision Case No. 534 of 2003. Since the order impugned
therein was consequence of the order dated 05.07.2003
passed in Revision Case No. 534 of 2003, this Court vide
order dated 06.10.2020 disposed of the said writ petition
granting liberty to the petitioners to move the appropriate
court challenging the order dated 05.07.2003 passed in
Revision Case No. 534 of 2003. Accordingly, this writ
petition has been filed.
On perusal of the averments made in the writ
petition, it appears that the petitioners have not at all
explained the delay in challenging the order dated
05.07.2003 passed in Revision Case No. 534 of 2003. Since
the impugned order herein has been challenged after
seventeen years without explaining the delay, I am not
inclined to entertain the writ petition, which is accordingly
dismissed.
