A” is a victim of rape. She informs about the offence to the police. The police take her for a medical examination. At the hospital she refuses to give consent for conducting the examination. Who can conduct an examination of a victim of rape? *

A.Hi,
No examination can be conducted without the girl's consent, she has a fundamental right to privacy. She might be uncomfortable with the choice of doctor, she should be given more time to make up her mind.

Her consent is essential to conduct the exam. If she refuses, no exam can be conducted. In this case, a psychiatrist may be able to determine the issue without physically examining her.
