A.Hi,

Protection of Women against Domestic Violence Act (2005) protects the rights of the women against domestic violence. She can resort to various grounds for divorce mentioned under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1956 to take a divorce from her husband or may file an FIR against him to get immediate help.
