I NEED ADVICE
I am Writing to you regarding some personal issue which i am facing at this moment. And i need you suggestion to get over of this.
Actually i was working in a private hospital since last 2 years. And now i left my job due to some personal problem. I tried to submit my resignation letter to the HR department. But they denied to accept that. According to them i have to work for 1 month after giving my resignation notice. But that is not possible for me in any way. I tried to convince them and tried to make them understood about my problem. But they are sticked to their decision that they will not accept my 24 hours resignation.
Right now i am not continuing my duties. And the hospital management is giving me threats of taking legal action against me if i don't join my duty. I am really very stressed. And can't find any way to get out of this situation. I don't know if i am really going to face any serious kind of legal issues in future.I am so much worried.
Can you please suggest me any solution regarding this?

If you do not serve the notice period stipulated by your contract, you will be subject to penalties. You should have considered this and tendered your resignation earlier.
You can be exempted form serving notice if you are physically or mentally unable to as a result of illness or infirmity, this will have to be proved by medical records.

You have a legal obligation to serve notice according to the terms of your contract, unless you have valid medical reasons. Not serving this notice period exposes you to liability. We would advise you to serve the month's notice period to avoid future complications.
