My father is retiered he gets pension but he does not provide any support to us plus he is not supporting my education too can i complaint on him and how

A.Hi,
It depends on your age. If you're a minor, you can definitely claim maintenance from your father.
But in various High Courts and Supreme Court, the major child has also been allowed to claim maintenance for the purpose of education or if the child is suffering from any disease. Hence, you can claim maintenance from your father for the purpose of education. Thank You

It depends on your age. If you're a minor then your father is liable for your maintenance, otherwise not. A Hindu male or female is bound to maintain his or her legitimate/illegitimate minor children and aged/infirm parents. Aged or infirm parents (which includes childless stepmothers) or unmarried daughters have to be maintained if they are unable to maintain themselves.
But recently, Indian courts have also said that a major child whether daughter or son, under the family law in India, is also entitled to get maintenance from his/her father if they are dependent on their parents.
Dependency on parents means that they are not in a position to earn themselves either because they are studying or due to any disease. Hence, you can claim maintenance from your parents for the purpose of education.
