my parents borrowed around 1 lakh from a chit fund company 28 years which has been liquidated 21 years ago .the company has been revived again in 2020 and they initially contact us in a polite manner to settle the remaining amount and they got a signature from my mother stating the above and got deposit amount of 5k in order to show the documents .we thought of settling in a amicable way but the company didn't show us any account statement or property documents for six months .when I approached them directly they Denys the Authorization and sent a auction notice stating that we have to pay 1 crore .I want to know how we can proceed it legally

A.Case after twenty years is barred by limitation. In such case limitation is merely of three years. They have no right to make any auction. Lodge a police complaint and also approach court for stay. The liability of legal heir is very limited.
