Landlord not returning security deposit

Landlord is not returning a part of our security deposit which amounts to Rs.15460. He has stopped responding to calls and texts.

A.that is very often used tactic.
you can try by sending legal notice by lawyer.
but they know that nobody will file a case for small amounts less than 50,000 specially below 25,000.

You may lodge a compliant with the police. Or you can send him a legal notice, after that you may institute a suit for recovery of money.

A.You can try to send him a legal notice. Further in case he doesn't reply to the same or not return the money you could have been advised to think about filing case for recovery but practically for Rs 15460/- no one would want to file a litigation in reality.
