Irresponsibility in duty, mental harm, Monetary loss Irresponsibility in duty, mental harm, Monetary loss

A reputed hospital in Bangalore took money deposit from us and promised to arrange an appointment but repeatedly failing to setup an appointment with the doctor. The patient is mentally ill And any delay in the doctor consultation will lead to further deterioration of the wellness that she has gained for over from months of recovery. Is there way to file law suit and make them pay for this irresponsible behaviour, negligence and all the money, time and mental health gained over months is going in vain and might have to get treated from the beginning.

for medical negligence you can approach consumer court.

but if there is so much dire need of treatment then consider another doctor/hospital for immediate help.

A.Hi,
You can legally hold hospital and its senior doctor liable for the damages caused to patient by its unprofessional and unethical practice under breach of contract between patient and hospital. Also you can file for medical negligence for legal remedy under torts. But first you should send legal notice to hospital and try to get it solve amicably and also can for Arbitrational proceedings.

A.Hey, Medical Negligence is covered under tort where you can file case for negligence by hospital and hold hospital and its senior doctors vicariously liable. You can also file for breach of contract under contract act for hospital not fulfilling its promise. You should with help of an advocate draft a legal notice and try to solve it amicably with hospital management. Also Arbitration method can be adopted.
