A.Father can disown the son. Since you donot have any right in father's self acquired properties hence question of relinguishment of you any right does not arise. As such there is no provision under which son can seperate from his father.

A.Dear client
By executing registered relinquishment deed you can give up your rights and interests in your father's property. But there is no legal provision for separating a father from his son. It is an obligation of children to see the welfare of their parents. It is also a legal obligation.

A.Hi,
Executing a relinquishment deed will enable you to give up your rights, titles, and interests in your father’s property as a legal heir but you cannot legally separate from him.

A.Hi,
A relinquishment deed is a legal document that gives up or releases the rights, titles, and interests of a particular legal heir in a common property to other legal heirs. You can forgo your right by executing such a deed but you cannot legally separate yourself from your father. You might not contact him but in his old age, you will have a legal obligation to maintain him.

A.Hello,

Love and affection between father and son are natural and can't bound legally. In respect of your question, You have to give declaration by executing release deed whereby you can declare that you doesn't want any share in the property. As you are 18+ you can live separately, your parents have no right to dictate you and you have full freedom to chose your life partner.

But during your lifetime you are responsible to maintain your father as its legally commitment too.

Thanks with best regards

Nishant Singh (Adv)

A.There is nothing like that getting separated from the father and there are no legal provisions like that what we usually see in the movies. But yes there is something called relinquishment of property where a person can give away his rights in the property by executing a relinquishment deed and getting it registered. So. the son can do so.
