i am sanjeev sachdeva from dehradun, my wife taken rented commercial space for beauty parlour 8 months back,agreement not signed due to some reasons,but we have rent receipts,at the time of verbal agreement landlord assured us to take the shop for rent for atleast 3 years as her son is outstation for some work,but only after 1 month of our opening he came back after leaving his job,now he is running his business in the gallery beside our property,and landlord now trying to through us out by creating some issues,such as a main hole in front of out gate is without any lid from last 7 months,2 dogs of owner always tied on outside our door , when ever we are late even by 1 day to pay rent ,water supply stopped by the owner, now when we fed up we locked our premises and sit at home from last 7 days,by the time encroachment removal by state govt started and our rented shop is also within that,we did not get any legal notice regarding encroachment removal either from govt or landlord,now in our locked premises our landlord removing tin shades roofing on the name of encroachment removal,due to rainy season our all furniture getting damaged,presently we are not opening our shop as it is not safe for a lonely lady to work in such space where whole family is against us,we have given application to local police regarding harrasing by landlord but police not doing anything.sir pls advice what to do next

A.move an injunction suit against the landlord restraining him from making any changes in the rented accommodation

A.You can issue a notice to the Landlord and if they are cooperating then you can file a case before Rent control court.
