Withholding salary prior to an internal case (no correlation with case) Withholding salary prior to an internal case (no correlation with case)

Does a company have the right to withhold salary prior to an internal case? There is no co-relation with the case. Could it be a case of pre-judged verdict?

A.It would be unjustified to hold a salary if it not linked to the case or salary prior to the case. But without knowing every detail of the case it would be a half baked answer. Also, remember as disciplinary proceedings company can do many acts and salary holding is one of them at any stage of processing the salary.

A.Hi,
Information provided by you is very less and if your case is not related to company or not against their policy. Then company has no right to withheld your salary. You can send legal notice to the company with the help of the advocate to release your salary.

A.Hey,
As you haven't mentioned about the case so its difficult to tell if the company has the right to hold your salary. If your case is related to company and company is unfairly holding your salary so you can send legal notice to the company to release your salary.
