Inter religion marriage (Hindu - muslim)
We are getting married via SMA first then Nikah and then finally hindu rituals.
- For Nikah both should be Muslim, so we will do notary and dummy Muslim name and sign Nikahnama
- For Hindu rituals we will again do notary and rituals
- Please note that it's the condition of our parents that they want 3 marriages and this can't be avoided at any cost
- We both want to follow our own religion hence we are doing SMA first
- Notary 1: He is accepting Islam by choice. We both are doing marriage by consent
- Notary 2: We both are accepting Hinduism by choice. We both are doing marriage by consent
Questions
- We are doing Nikah only for parents happiness, will it convert boy's religion? He won't register anything in gazzet and notary will only be with us. It's only for the Nikah process
- Will doing Nikah via mentioned process - will he be denied on reservation rights
- Will our children get reservations?

If you belong to Muslim minority then if you choose Islam as the religion of your children then they will be accordingly benefitted by it. The SMA preserves your religion and the minority reservations as well. Similarly, your children will be eligible for the reservations if they are any.

No it will not affect the boy's religion. The reservation if any is associated with your religion then you will be the beneficiary of it. Your children will get reservations according to the determination of their religion.

No, it shall not convert the religion unless the due process of conversion is followed.
No the reservation rights shall remain intact as granted per the previous laws but may get modified due to marriage under SMA
Depends on the reservation status of both parents plus how the children are brought up and the state laws on the reservations.
