Borrowed money by signing blank stamp paper Borrowed money by signing blank stamp paper

Dear Sir/Madam, My Father and mother borrow a money from a person nearby my house in 2010 and 2013 as amount of 1 lac and 30 thousand respectively also signed on blank 50,20 rs stamp paper.in end of 2013 they paid all the amount with interest except 20 thousand of interest. After 2 months while we were going to give 20 thousand for getting our document they said, they missed the document so we thought to don't give 20k and due to trust we came back but after 8 years, now in 2021 they came back to us and showing that blank signed stamp papers(not registered in register office and non notarised) and asking 70k for that 20k.How can i get out from this issue if they file complaint against us?

Note:additionally we gave one land document for surity.

A.Dear Sir,
You need not give any further amount. Those documents are time barred and no suit can be filed on the basis of such documents. Simply he is threatening you on the basis of such invalid documents.

PLEASE GIVE ME RATING AS RANK 5

A.Dear Sir/ Madam,
You need not pay him an increased amount and let him approach the court if he wants as it will not favour him since the Blank signed stamp papers does not meet the requirements to be enforced in the court. You can on the other hand address your issue in court if he harasses you.

A.You need not worry so much. First of all he cannot complain anywhere as there is no such forum for them where he can go and complain about it. Secondly it is illegal in India to give mortgage loan without having proper license from the state authorities so if you complain to the police then he will be in trouble not you.
Moreover let him go to a court with that stamp paper and file a case to recover the loan amount as he will be scared to do so. Court will not entertain his case or if he is able to file his case you lawyer will be able very easily able to get it dismissed.
