My father had extramarital affair and I scanned his watsapp in my phone using whatsapp web scanner and showed the chats to my mom. My father told me that he will lodge cyber crime complaint against me for hacking his watsapp and will ruin my career as an IT professional. So what are the chances that I will lose my job or ruin my career as IT professional. This matter is 2 yrs old.

First of there is no limit to file cyber crime a two year old matter could still be reported. Although there are very few chances that your father would file a complaint as it's 2 years to the incident. But it would not affect that much on your job. The cyber offence you commited is not of grave nature. Therefore, you would not losse your job although it depends the on company you are working in as well. But having a complaint registered on your name might effect your reputation.
