I own a 1500sq.ft.land in Solapur city.I want to use it for commercial and residential use.Can I build a property over this land having both commercial and residential use?I want to construct 3/4 story building of which 2/3 floors will be used for commercial purpose and 1/2 for residential purpose for my own house or for rental property.Can I build such property over my own land?

A.Hi,
Firstly, you need to get the relevant permissions to construct a building for commercial and residential purposes. The area in which such a building is to be constructed is taken into consideration while issuing such permission. However once you receive the permission and the plan gets approved, there is no legal concerns that are involved.

A.Yes, with the appropriate permissions you can build a residential as well as commercial building on your land. There are no any separate criteria for this purpose. You can submit a plan with the concerned department through your architect, you will get the permission
