From last 8 years my husband is verbal and physical abusive to me.he always keeps on shouting and sometimes hits me badly for silly things which is not required to get tempered the matter was that I forgot to close door properly he started yelling and than become abusive and also hit me badly this kind of issues which happens he becomes aggressive and hits me he just want me to do what he says nothing else so I came to my mom's place as arguments increased now he is been calling and telling me to come and talk but my parents told now they won't alow to go till than they don't talk to him and even I don't want to live in such relationships how should I answer him about it Dat I dnt want such relationships as he has told me to give him answers by today

A.You need to consult a good family lawyer who can understand you matter and guide you properly depending on what you want out of this marriage and how you would like to proceed ahead in case you wish to take legal action.

A.Hi,
This is clearly a case of domestic violence. Section 498a of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Women against the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 deals with cruelty and as seen in your case, it is mental and physical abuse. If you file a case against your husband, then If convicted, he can be sent to jail for up to 3 years under the Indian Penal Code. However, another way of dealing with this situation is to approach protection officers for domestic violence. Lastly, as you don't want to continue this relationship, you can also file for a divorce on the ground of cruelty. If he is not willing to cooperate and burden you with any mental or physical cruelty, it is best to go for a divorce to save yourself from the future trauma.
