Company not allowing me to resign. Company not allowing me to resign.

I am working as a software engineer in a company on 1.5 years bond. I started working as full time employee on may 1 2020. So my contract gets over by November 1 2021. So I resigned my job in august 2021 to give my 3 months of notice period. But my firm is not allowing me to do that. They want me to apply resignation after November 1 2021 and serve the notice period. Or else they me to pay the bond amount. They didn't include this in my offer letter.

A.Hi,
As per the information you stated above, you have to work for 1.5 years starting from May 1st, 2020. If you resign before the completion of the said period, you have to pay the bond amount as stated in the agreement. However, if you have any confusion or ambiguity in the said agreement, you can get the help of a lawyer.

A.See if you have agreed for the bond then you will have to abide by it and fulfill the conditions of the agreement. Since you agreement is ending on 1st November 2021 then you will have to follow that or else you need to pay the bond as agreed.
If they have not mentioned that in the offer letter then get the offer letter and all other agreements vetted by a lawyer to arrive at a conclusion.
