Apply for Pension

My dad employed in BSNL had expired. My mom has also expired. My dad's mother, my grandmother is alive. I want to apply for pension for my grandmom. BSNL had asked me to produce my grandfather's Legal heir certificate. My grandfather had expired 24 years back and we don't have the Legal heir certificate? What to do now?

A legal heir certificate may be obtained from a district court, whereas an application for surviving member certificate is to be submitted at the office of the district magistrate.

A.Dear Sir,
It is too late to apply for pension. Any how you can get legal heir certificate from revenue authorities or get it on affidavit and notarized or get it from the Civil Court or approach High Court for a direction to BSNL.

You need to meet with the local councilor or the tehsildar and request for issuing a legal heir certificate for you then you can visit the BSNL office for the work to be done. Once you submit the same the BSNL will do the needful.

A.It is necessary for your grandmother to make a Legal Heir Declaration in this regard before the First Class Magistrate enclosing your grandfather's, your mother's and your father's death certificates and identify proofs as well as your grandmother's identity proofs therein.
