Landlord overwrote agreement Landlord overwrote agreement

I moved in 2 months ago to a flat in bangalore. I paid the security deposit of 1.2 lac, signed the lease agreement(e-stamp) and sent it to the landlord through courier. he sent me back a copy with his signature but deposit was overwritten with pen to 1.4 lac. The e-stamp status is still "not locked". What to do in this situation and what happens to the deposit?

A.Dear Sir,

Please clarify the matter with landlord. It seems he requires 20k more as security deposit. If you can then give the said amount and for all payments take separate receipts which will over ride the corrections if any made in the lease agreements.

A.If you wanted to accept the same then you can also counter sign the same otherwise inform the landlord to revise the agreement.
