One person has put false allegations of calling him "chamaar" as he belongs to schedule caste. He is saying he will file a police case . So what is the right procedure or what can i do as i have not used such a word.

No case or complaint can be filed for using such a word as this does not amount to defamation. Defamation is defined as oral or written communication of a false statement about another that unjustly harms their reputation and usually constitutes a tort or crime. However, this is not the scene in this case.

A.You may not need to worry as that person will need to prove the fact that you have defamed him by calling him using such word and also that he has been socially defamed due to the use of that word then only he can file a complaint against you for defaming him otherwise no action can be taken against you for such an issue.
