Hi, the company I was working for is delaying my final settlement and claiming that I owe the company around 3,00,000 that were given as an advance to me in 2015. This amount was given to me in 2015 as an advance for onsite travel. Later, it was deducted from my US payroll. The company now claims that they missed to deduct this amount. - The matter is almost 7 years old. I do not recall the details of the accounts from that period. I do not have the emails, documents either - I no longer have access to emails from that period - until now, this matter was never raised by the company - there was a 3 month notice period. The matter was raised only after my exit, and after I no longer had access to my old emails - the company that had given me the advance was acquired in 2017. A.Dear Sir,

You may get issue a Legal notice and then file a money recovery suit. You may also file private complaint against the company saying that it as cheated you.

A.Dear Client,

As per the facts which have been provided, you can send a legal notice to the employer for the final settlement of your dues and if nothing is done after that as well then you can file a suit against him in the court.
