I failed to receive the summon issued by city civil court kolkata, as I was not at home that time. I came to know the a civil case against me from ecourt. Will it be sufficient that a downloaded copy from the ecourts is sufficient to appear before the court. This is the first appearance and I myself want to present my case.
A.Dear Client,
Yes, a downloaded copy is sufficient to appear in the court even if you failed to receive the hard copy.

A.Dear Sir,
Yes, you can appear either in person or through Advocate as downloaded copy of court summons is sufficient. Even without summons you can voluntarily appear before the Court otherwise there every possibility of you being placed as ex-parte.

A.Yes, on your part it is necessary on that date to enter appearance by filing Hazira before the concerned Bench of the City Civil Court and you have to accompany your original Aadhaar Card while asking the concerned Bench officer to give you the unserved copy of that Summon along with plaint while recording your appearance in that matter on that Service Return date.
