CANCELLATION OF PROMOTION DUE TO IMPLEMENTATION OF RESERVATION RULE CANCELLATION OF PROMOTION DUE TO IMPLEMENTATION OF RESERVATION RULE

I AM WORKING IN A STATE AIDED UNIVERSITY AS A SUPERINTENDENT AFTER GETTING PROMOTION FROM GROUP C POST. IT IS A NON-TEACHING POST. I GOT PROMOTION FOR THE SAID POST IN THE YEAR 2020. NOW THE AUTHORITY IS TRYING TO IMPLEMENT SC/ST/OBC RESERVATION RULE FOR PROMOTION CONSIDERING 50 POINT ROSTER FROM THE BACK LOCK YEAR 2000. I AM A GENERAL CATEGORY CANDIDATE. THE AUTHORITY VERBALLY INFORMED THAT I MAY HAVE TO LOOSE THE PROMOTION AND GO BACK TO MY EARLIER POST SURRENDERING THE SALARY I GOT FOR THE POST OF SUPERINTENDENT. I AM ANXIOUS AND WORRIED FOR THE MATTER. KINDLY ADVISE ME.
CAN SUCH STEPS BE LEGAL FOR THE EMPLOYER? IF THE EMPLOYER TAKE SUCH STEP, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A.Dear Sir,

Once promotion is given rightly or wrongly, the service tribunal or High Court will protect your rights and you need not worry unnecessarily.
