Hi. I have joined in hcl at nov 2021. I jus worked for 10 days oly. Then I quit my job due to medical emergency. I made a proper resignation to quit from my job and none asked me to serve notice period.. now after 1 year I'm getting legal notice to pay 50k from the company for my resignation. Please let me know what to do now?

A.Dear client,
According to the Labor Law, bonds are applicable only if the company has spent money on the personal grooming and enhancement of the employees, and not just a training that helps employees perform better. Since you have not mentioned training period or investment made by the company, also since you have only served them for 10 days, the penalty can easily be dealt with with the help of a lawyer you trust. You are advised to approach a lawyer and respond to the legal notice without delay.

Hopefully this resolves your query, best wishes. Thank you.

A.Dear Client
Since there is a legal notice that has been issued to you hence you must reply to that legal notice positively taking help of some lawyer. Not replying to legal notice amounts to acceptance of the allegations made therein.
