Defamation and emotional abuse

I am working in an organisation as a senior project manager. My colleagues who were my friend earlier have discussed so many things with me but when I get promoted and appreciated out of jealous they fabricated a great politics circle around me. They are three girls who are spreading wrong perceptions and statements about me. My management is behaving weird and this is coming on my position in the company now. I am mentally and emotionally exhausted. I am spending whole night crying. I am so strong but these incidents broke me. I can leave the job and go away but this will prove me wrong. Please help and suggest me what to do!

Sorry that you are going through this. You need to stay calm and keep your cool in such situations. I think it is high time to report the matter to your supervisors or higher-ups.
But if you want to take action legally,
Under IPC, (assuming you are a woman here)
Section 354: Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
Section 499: Defamation ( but proving it won't be very easy)

You may get issue a legal notice and file following defamation cases.

1) Defamation cases are of two types, criminal and civil.
2) In Civil defamation, a mala fide intention to defame is not always necessary. If defamation is caused, thenbsuit lies. Court fees are required to be paid as per value of damages caused to reputation.
3) Criminal defamation must, in addition, contain some deliberate malice or malafide intention, to cause damage to reputation of someone.
Here, court fees are NOT required at The level of a civil case.
At the end of case, court punishes offender if defamation is proved.
3) In civil defamation case, at end of case, court awards damages to compensate loss to reputation if defamation is proved.
