An FIR is being registered against my husband and his family mediation is being done twice once by court and another by police in each mediation 3 dates were given none was being attended by my husband nor his family now it's been 4 months my case is in police station and they have not submitted chargesheet yet everytime i go to check on my status of FIR they say they haven't received a permission yet please let me know how much time does it take or i can do anything further

A.Dear Madam,
You may go to High Court under Section 482 and get a direction to the Investigation officer to complete the investigation within next 60 days and to file charge sheet.

A.Dear Client,

if the police is not filing charge sheet and the accused is on bail then there is no time limit for filing the same. If you are the complainant, then move an appropriate application before the concerned court for directing the police to intimate the status of the investigation or also can approach higher police authorizes in this respect.
