My girl friend cheated me for another rich person. I took some money from her long back like 2.5lac. Now she is coming back to me and asking me to return that money else she ll go legal. That was online transfer. I don’t have intentions to keep her money but at the same time I don’t wanna give right away. What I have gone thru , she should also see the same. So whether she can file a police complaint on me in this matter or can’t. Else, she can only send me lawyers/ court notice ?

The law will prevail over your emotions. She can file a recovery suit or send a legal notice or file a police complaint against you. As she will have the evidence of the transaction, it will be much easier for her to win the case and get back her money through a court order. So, it's better you talk to her and tell her you need some time.

Thank you for your reply sir. One I consulted a advocate and he told that she can’t file a case as this is financial matter. Moreover, she said there is no written agreement, so she can’t do anything much about it as I have spend my money on her.
