Conspiracy to kill on the pretext of talking

some people called me on the pretext of talking..the next day when i was going to talk..So I came to know that those people have planned to kill me..Then I came back to my home..Can I take legal action against those people who planned to kill me?Because if I don't know about their planning then Maybe he would have killed me and I would not be alive today..
